Hidex 600 OX Oxidizer is a fully computer controlled automated sample combustion instrument dedicated for liquid scintillation counting (LSC) sample preparation. Solid organic sample is transformed into homogenous and clear liquid sample for LSC measurement. Effective and accurate sample preparation with Hidex 600 OX is ideal for variety of samples such as: soil, tissue, plant, oil and concrete. On Point Sample Preperation

Innovative and user-friendly system uses industrial standard programmable logic controllers and mass flow controllers for fully reliable sample combustion process, because only accurate results matter. Up to six samples can be loaded in one go. Operator has walk a way freedom and is not tied up like older manual systems. Sample boats are placed on high purity quartz glass ladles. Hidex 600 OX Oxidizer is compatible with both reusable and disposable sample boats.
Automated catalytic combustion
Organic sample is combusted in high temperature of 900 °C and under oxygen stream into carbon dioxide and water vapor. The carbon dioxide is absorbed directly into the liquid scintillation cocktail and the vial is ready for instant 14C liquid scintillation counting (LSC). In tritium application, water vapor is condensed into vial containing cocktail for tritium LSC measurement.
Automated gas tightness test is performed before every sample combustion for ensuring optimal 14C and ³H recovery and safe working environment. Low 14C level sample amount can be increased by combusting up to 6 sample aliquots into one LSC vial which enable higher LSC accuracy.
