2.7 - Radiation Protection

The chapter on Radiation Protection includes sampling and measurement procedures for Radon in air as a major contributor to the radiation exposure of the population, especially indoors. It covers also effluent measurements for Tritium and Radiocarbon from nuclear facilities, procedures for NORM materials and liquid scintillation for contamination control in a radiochemical laboratory.
